NE One Know Where To Rent A Spray Booth In Los Angeles?
There is 1 in east la off of Olympic. On the south side of the street about 2 miles east of the 710 freeway!
I was gonna do that but the driveway is F-d UP (Don't Ask... LOL), so Im a just make a small spray booth out of platic for the lip kit and bumper. As for the car... I need a bigger place. If I could... I would. Plus I think one of the Neighbors will call the cops.... TOO SMELLY!

If you do it in sections at a time, may not necessarily have alot of fumes.
But ya, if the houses are close together, may make a difference.
check out my car that we sprayed on the driveway. No cover, etc.

Im a talk to the neibors to see if it's cool with them Im just spray for two days for 2 hrs each day and see what they say( kit & Bumpers one day, body the second). They have known me since I was a little kid so I think it should be fine. But still... to be on the safe side. I should get a booth.
OH YEAH... Great job on the @ home job... Looks awsome. I hope mines turns out just as good

N E 1 Else knows of any place to rent a booth?.... LA area, or North Hollywood.
ya do sections at a time. We did the jams, then did the engine bay, etc. So it wasnt the whole car at one time. And when you're doing one coat at a time and waiting to do the next coat. Its not like you're spraying the whole time on that small section.
Good luck man.
Good luck man.
Thanx though...
Sooo.... Here's the dreal. There is a guy on Craigslist renting a booth for $100... THE WHOLE DAY! But he's in Palmdale, 1hr from where I live. Should I just make the trip and paint the whole car in one day? Would probably be better cuz I wouldn't have to stop shooting and clean the guns for a secong day of painting. I could just paint the whole car at once. Is this worth it.
The guy renting the booth has a 1,000,000 btu heater and Air supply... in the add it says that the spray booth is "VERY CLEAN"... So should I?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ go for it.i would do it on a weekend or take a few days off of work.personaly i would drive down there and look at it 1st
I am taking next week( Manditory Vacation ) Wen., Thurs. & Fri. off to do all this... Plus I don't work the weekends and Monday is a Bank Holiday (Im Off... :-) ). Wen. Im a watersand all the bumpers and lip kit. Then Thurs. Im a wet sand the rest of the car... Im thinking of spraying Satarday. I am e-mailing the guy and asking questions before I agree to anything.
I think the place would be a hell a better to spray then spraying in the drive way cuz:
1. No ticket
2. Got everything I need
3. $100 for a day seems to be better then $100/hr.
The only problem is the distance ... Urrggghh!!! But it's worth it, I think.
