Default Tein H-Tech springs

So I was doing some research online looking at differet springs to get to lower my 5th gen lude. I'm rolling on 17's w/a 215/45/17 tire. I dont really want to be too low (I've done the "slammed" look in the past) and I was looking into the Tein H-Tech springs but I'm not sure sure they're gonna give me the right drop. According to Tein's site its a 0.8" drop in front and 0.7" drop in the rear. But on their site it says "most vehicle's obtain a 1.2" drop. Anyone rollingwith these springs with any pics or input on these springs?

I also looked into the S-Tech springs but I'm not sure I want to go 1.5" I think closer to 1" or 1.2" might be more what I'm looking into. Just not sure yet. I want to lower it but not be too low but still have a good ride.

Sounds like you might want an Eibach ProKit or even better, Ground Control coilovers. With coilovers, you select whatever height you want.

To be honest with you the s-techs don't drop that much. I have had mine in for 10 months now and i don't scrap any where. You still get alot of clearance from them. IMO if i were to do it again i would have gone with ground controls cause i like my car low and i daily drive it with a foot of snow.

Expect a little less than an inch of a drop with the H-techs, as advertised.

Both the H and S techs are soft springs, which could be good or bad depending on what you want.

i owned H-techs on my 4th gen, they didnt prove much for performance only a little stiffer then stock. it only lowers the car a tiny bit. it helps to "level" the car out for better looks, but if you want performance i recommend H&R sport springs, very good performance with great dropped look.

also look into getting a quality 1" rear sway bar, they help a lot too. I use an Addico bar they make 4th/5th gen prelude sway bars.

I've got a set of H Techs in the garage that I haven't touched in a fews. I'll let them go cheap if you want them. Keep in mind shipping them costs about $25 for continental US

Yeah, I had them on my car. It is defiantly more around a 1-1.25 drop.

This is my car with some Tein H-Tech springs sitting on stock shocks and 215/50/R16 tires.

I've already rule out coilovers. I dont like the way they ride (well coilover sleeves anyways like Skunk2 or Ground Control). I'm leaning towards Tein still but jsut undecided. If anyone else as pics they can post of their rides on either the S tech's or H techs I can get an idea of what either drop would look like. But thanks for everyone's advice!

The H-Tech are an amazing spring. Theyre extremely light compared to OEM, and are one of only two springs I'd use with stock shocks. (I'm doing so right now) the other being the Swift mach spring.

Seeing how youre driving a prelude, which is already fairly low, I think the H-Tech would give you a nice natural stance without looking slammed. In my oppinion, its Teins best spring for most applications.

The S tech is good, as long as the springrates are right for the car. Sometimes theyre slightly too soft for their drop.

Id say go H-Tech!
