The transmissions are the same, but with different gearing, so it shouldn't matter. I run 6 puck ceramic clutches with sprung hubs on all my cars, but that's just me.

Exedy Stage 2. If you get a new throw out bearing get Honda, not one from the parts store.

I second the Exedy Stage 2. Or if you can spend a little more cash I would go for a Clutchmasters FX300. The disc has a segmented Kevlar facing. It engages very smooth and last much longer than organic.

The FX300 is a stage 3 clutch. But the FX200 also uses a steel backed kevlar disc. The Exedy kit is "Cerametallic" which means nothing more than semi-metallic, or metal fragments combined with ceramic, which is also very durable. Either way the quality will be top notch, the kevlar seems more appealing though, but I've never driven a kevlar clutch. My Exedy is smooth as butter.

Man, the Exedy Stage 2 is serious overkill. I though it was an organic lining. Unless you're running alot of boost or a serious NA build you'll never need that much. Plus, the "cerametallic" linings are much more harsh on the friction surfaces. You will see much faster wear over an organic or kevlar lining. After installing the FX300 in my EG I had to drop my trans after about 2500 miles to replace a bad pilot bearing (my fault, not Clutchmasters). I inspected the disc and pressure plate and there was NO wear. I know 2500 miles isn't much, but the machining marks were still perfect on the pressure plate. This is the second vehicle I've ran one in and plan to put one in my 94 Accord also.

The FX200 uses a full-faced kevlar lining and the FX300 uses a segmented kevlar lining. There's no other difference between them. The segmented kevlar holds more power since you are spreading the clamping load over a smaller surface area. I always reccomend the FX300 over the FX200 because of this. There is no added cost, same pedal pressure, same reliability, no reason not to step up.

I'm not slamming the Exedy, they make a good product, but for DD/track car the kevlar is hard to beat.
