Icon6 will this motor swap work?

I have a 90 lx accord and I'm thinking of buying a 92 ex accord with a broken timing belt/locked up motor. That car is in better shape than mine and i was wondering if the motors are indentical to where they can be swapped out? Mine is a manual and the 92 is an auto. Are there any problem s I would run into exchanging these motors for one another and would I need to buy any additional parts to make the 90 motor run in the 92 car? Thanks

You just lucked out. The 1990 Accord was the first year of the F22A/Bx engine which ended production (for the Accord at least) at the end of the 1997 model year, so they will both physically bolt up.
The problem arises (however) with your swapping in a non-vtec engine ('90 LX) into a chassis set up for a Vtec ('92 EX).
The ECM, engine harness and some sensors will be different and will have to be delt with.

what are you talking about 90-93 accords came with either anf22a1,a4, or a6, and to answer the question right yea all you have to do is switch out the flywheel for for the automatic flexplate unless your are do a 5spd swap while your are at it.

lol i was gonna say 90-93 Accord Came with F22Ax Motors while the 94-97 Comes in F22Bx(with or without Vtec).

About quizbo? it's interchangable, just do what zchach2c said. and you might wanna replace any leaking seals while the engine is out, so that way you wont have to go back to it in the future.

thanks guys for the help. I was thinking the motors were interchangeable, just wanted to be sure before I bought the other car.
