Its about time....three years too late IMO and a few more kids smashing them up will ensure a higher chance of collectibility. Yay...we may own a "rare" Honda after all.

 

thank you sir... thats what i was thinking. they should had stopped back in 2006 imo. hopefully with the ap1's going down in price more kids will pick them up and smash them... as long as the kids are fine, i'm ok with that.

i'm hoping for a 25-40% decrease in actual street cars... that would be fcking great!!!

 

I hope the price on them drops more so they will get more smashed up and harder to find.

Given H's track record it will probably go the same way as the del-sol and crx. but maby a few more people will take care of them this time...

 

If this follows through and becomes extinct like the CRX/Del Sol, then this should further strengthen my decision to purchase a NSX. Please nobody smash those sweet beauties up!!

not so great when they are like 8k now and people are still paying on a 15-16k loan

 

The S2k will NOT go the way of the del-sol, come on now! Del-sol was a half-*** replacement of the CRX at best. The S2k will go down as one of the best roadsters ever for its purity, handling, all that. When Honda wants to prove something, they effin do it best (FR car). First MR (NSX), then FR (S2k)...maybe AWD now? Dethrone the Evo and STi? heh :D

Anyway, it's too bad the replacement will be nothing like the S2k . Or maybe that's good for rarity sake?

hopefully in a coupe of years i can buy another s2000 with low miles and keep it completely stock. that way i can have a 'valuable' s2000 and an s2000 that i can have fun with

No one wanted a V8 in the S2000 anyway. There not doing the NSX either, BTW.

 

My sentiments as well.

I think a 5-6 year run would have been sufficient for the S.

 

i dont think this is perminant. same with the nsx... its just on hold during the slump in the economy. got this info from a manager at a honda dealer. s2000 is not done.

 

I don't see S2000's on the road that often down here, if you ask me they're kinda rare already. I'd hate to see them kill the production of the car, it's pimp and deserves a good successor.

I highly doubt there gone forever. Just taking a break this year, manufactures do it all the time.

 

oh of course. honda will make another convertible/roadster. i'm just glad is not gonna be the ap1/2 body style anymore.

 

Too late, the car has lost it's rareness. And now anyone can own one as there are too many on the road. It's just not special anymore as Honda waited way to late to stop production.

 

Oh they are in the 8's. Just gotta look.
