Is there anyway to fix paint chipping on the bumpers? I have two donut hole size cracks on the bumper where the paint chipped off an its only the primer left. Or is the only way to fix it is to repaint the whole thing?
you can use touch up paint....then wet sand it so its smooth again...clear coat and buff. Let me find the DIY link.
Edit: I cant find the DIY i wanted but here is something pretty similar. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/foru...ighlight=paint

If the chips are donut hole sized doing what greddy civic said will make them look better but will still be very obvious because of the size. Can you stick your fingernail in the chip and lift the side of the paint up like it will just flake off? Getting a respray i think will be the only way of making it look good from the way you explained it.Cant tell for sure though without seeing pics.

i wasnt talking about scratches but big cracks in the paint, like when it flakes off. That DIY is good though for the scractches too. Thanks
Right...but when i think of paint chips, i was thinking of stone chips. I actually fixed a front bumper using a method similar tto the one in the link at work tonight. came out pretty well so far...still need to buff it out some more
