I am running a edelbrock throttle body with a edelbrock victor x intake mani for a gsr. My problem is that the throttlebody is designed to run with the stock gsr mani. since this is the case the pulley on the throttle body is pulling from the wrong direction. Can i flip the pulley? If not what can i do? I have searched but no straight answer!

 

Swap the bell crank from an LS Throttle body on to your GSR TB, make sure the return spring is put back on correctly as it unwinds when you take it off. You'll know if you don't have it wound enough as the return will feel real weak. So to answer your question, no you cannot flip the pulley. Don't forget to change your throttle cable as well, as for the throttle cable bracket that came with the manifold, you might have to either notch or drill an extra hole for it to work correctly. I've used the manifold on a handful of cars I've worked on, and tried three different OEM cables, ITR, SI, and SOHC. all of them had alot of slack, thus having to modify or shift the bracket. If you want it to look pretty, have someone make a nice cut bracket for you out of 1/4'' Alum.

edit: not 100% sure if a SOHC bell crank would work, worth a shot though if you have another TB laying around.
