95 Accord transmission issues
I have a 95 Accord EX automatic sedan with 127k miles. I have owned it since 100k, and the transmission has always felt a bit "sluggish" but recently drove a 95 Accord LX sedan automatic with lower miles, and felt a huge difference (even tho the LX has less HP).
My automatic feels like it is slipping or having a torque converter issue. If I need to speed up just a little, I press the gas, the RPMs rise about 200 rpm, and then it feels like something grabs, and they drop back down and hold.
On my accord, it seems like its locking and unlocking all the time. Hold the gas steady, its locked, press the gas, it unlocks, then grabs and locks back up again (no in between). On the LX I drove, this was a completely smooth process, and it had quite a bit more pickup it seemed as a result - very easy to modulate power delivery.
Changed the tranny fluid twice since I owned it with only Genuine Honda ATF. No check engine lights either.
Could this possibly be a solenoid? A mount, a converter problem? Something else?
