just a question do u really need to get new fenders

Pretty sure you need the 99-00 fenders, yes.

Yes, you need new fenders,hood,headlights,grill,bumper and you need to modify your bumper support... there are threads on this..search

whats the difference between the 99-00 fenders and 96-99 fenders? and the whole front end?

The 99-00 front is completely different from the 96-98 front. If you are doing the swap, the entire front needs to be purchased. Headlights, Grill, Hood, Fenders and Bumper...

Since the 99-00 grill is wider than the 96-98 you need to trim the mounting points of the bumper near the grill down to allow the wider grill to slide into place. Most people just cut them off or bend them down, but take some extra time to make new mounting holes so your front can be as OEM fit as possible.
