Default 2005 MDX interference engine or not?

ok i'm on http://www.troublecodes.net/tbelt/acuratb.shtml

3.5L* (3.5RL)(40)

3.5L (SLX) (41)
the * means it's an interference engine...

how do i know what engine type is an RL (interference) or SLX (non-interference)

this is on a vehicle that we're considering to replace the daily beater on my sig...

thanks for your replys in advance!

PS: would the VIN help in deciding which one it has?

2HNYD18245H557753

the listing states this as well:

3.5L V6 PFI SOHC

The SLX is a rebranded Isuzu which is why it doesn't have an interference engine. Your MDX has one.

All of the C-series and J-series V6es are interference engines.

This is incorrect. A20A engines are non-interference, as are some D-series engines.
