Default ITR goes autocross 2009

Hi there,

Here you will follow the story of my car getting ready for the 2009 autocross season. As I love to look at pictures of other Hondas I will have as many pics as possible in my thread.

The car is a Honda Integra Type R 1998 Championship White, made in Japan and sold new in Germany. The car was imported to Sweden in 2006 and I bought the car in november 2008.

I have previosly owned the following Hondas:
CRX VTEC 1991
Civic Type R 2002 silver
Civic Type R 2002 red
Civic EK4 VTI 2000
Civic EG6 B18C6 1992

Here are some pictures of my ITR:

So the main goal for the car is to be quick at the autocross events.

The specs at the moment:
Stock B18C6
Stock S80 transmission
J´s Racing intake system with cold air feed from front
TB bypass
T1R header
T1R Racing exhauast (catalytic converter is gone)
T1R Coilovers
Ferodo brake pads
Stripped interior behind seats
Chassie stiffnes "cage" mounted in backseat
Camber kit
Semi Racing tires (streetlegal)

The car also has a full front JDM conversion.

A few days ago I wanted to give my intake some cold air, I had seen that J´s Racing sold an air duct but with little money being not only "Racing-Mike" but also "Dad" I decided to make an own solution, or at least try to.

I have orderd a stock ITR intake, I think I will have a better system with a box and the duct in to the box. Well here are the pics of the system at the moment.

During the years I have been quite succesful here in Sweden on the dragstrips with my Hondas, best time is 12,98 with my ITR swapped EG6.

One thing i´ve learned is that you really need to think, "everything counts" if you want to be quick. So I wasnt happy with the gutted interior that the previous owner did, so I have decided to take of all of the tar and do it really good, and then paint the interior white inside so i have a really clean look, and light car.

Here is what it looked like when i bought the car: (I will update as soon as I have made some progress in removing the tar)

Ok just got back from the garage, i have finished the removal of the tar.

Puh!

I´v spent about 3 hours on it and it saved me 5,5 kg´s so i am very happy.
Now I will paint the floor white, dont know if im gonna use spray paint or use a thicker colour with brush, please give me your opinion on this.

Is there also anyone out there who KNOWS if the ITR has tar on the front floor also? Ive heard that it hasnt.

Here is the pictures, and thanx for checking in:

Btw, here are some videos of my Civic Type R EP3.
The video (the one downest) is from 2003 when I was fastest in Sweden in N/A power FWD on 14,01 in a big drag event. My best time with that car was 13,75. (BPU tuned and lightened)

The first video is shot in Stockholm at 0500 in the morning before we drove to the event.

Check out the videos.

Now i wont drag anything, i want to learn to DRIVE the car now on the track/autocross etc.

Hooked up my Defi oil temp and pressure meters tonight, it looks really good and will be a big safety when autocrossing this summer. The car also has a Mocal oil radiator in the front so cooling shouldnt be a problem.

Crappy pictures, sorry about that.

Ok, no news rally, have been working really hard this week at work and i hope to be able to paint the interior this weekend.

I think I will keep it white and clean, I will post updates as soon as there is and I will attach pictures I promise.

Thanx for replying, take care!

It looks like your current specs will already be fast in autocross.
