Icon6 need help bad...jdm h22a swap

ok heres the deal, i have a 95 prelude SE. A few weeks ago my h23a blew. I ordered a jdm h22a with the ecu. I basically have 2 questions i need to figure out before my warranty runs out. First of all, the h22a has an intiernal coil. i'm using my wiring harness that is in my car. i can just put my msd distributor on the h22a and mount the coil and it will work right?? and secondly in the engine bay of my car there is 2 unused plugs which looks like where the car is wired for vtec- to run the vtec solenoid and pressure switch. i have read that somtimes cars are wired for vtec even if they originally dont have it. does anyone know if a 1995 prelude SE is already wired for vtec. Also, if its not then i just gotta run the 3 wires to hook it up right? and using pinheads run the wires straight to the ecu?? which brings me to another question. i have read that the solenoid goes to a4, oil pressure sensor goes to d6 and of course u got to ground it. but how do u know which is a4 and d6 on the ecu- ive figured out which section is a b and d- but do the pins runs from right to left in counting then or do they go up and down??? hopefully my car is prewired and i dont have to worry about this. but if i do any help given is greatly appreciated. thanks for all in advance...

so far so good. timing belt replaced and gaskets- motor did look so much better in the pic than when i got it- wasnt as clean but i did expect that. got the fuel rails swapped-distributor and coil mounted - got it dropped in and bolted down- now im jsut hoping that my car is really prewired for vtec- it has the open plugs just like everyone says its suppose to if its prewired- i should know tom hopefully. and then of course im nervous about it working properly- i got my fingers crossed- the articles u posted i have also read- there is a wealth of information on this site. i am new here but i will be sticking around.

Glad they helped. I also have been doing tons of research on this topic. I was very surprised to find there isn't really a how-to on Honda-Tech. With lots of searching and gathering of random info that I could from here, the information is out there. On one of those sites there were some diagrams for the wiring. Did they prove to be helpful???
Did you do the Manual tensioner swap from the H23?

What did you decide to do for the Crank, PS, AC, and Alt Pulleys? That has been known to give people problems. I have read the H22a Inner Belt is 1 rib wider, which throws off the alignment of the Power steering belt according to what I have read. Let us know your experiences and things to watch for.

There is one thing that needs to be done to use a external coil harness with a internal coil dizzy. Allm you have to do is stick a 30 smp blade fuse in the harness that would normally connect to your external ignition coil. Then you can use the dizzy that comes on your H22a. My 94 si already had the vtec switch and I had to splice a wire from the big plug right before your harness goes through the firewall for oil pressure. I could have these two backwards too. If you search for threads by me there is one where a guy was extremely helpfull to me and all the info you need is in there.
