Default stick transmission on civic
hi my friend has a 92 accord and ge got a 5 speed transmission my question is this transmission fits in my civic d16y8 my civic is automatic

haha, let's string words together and hope a statement lands on the page.

I haven't done any research on the accords...but I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say it probably won't fit. At least not without modification. Is he going to take his tranny out and give it to you? Seems redundant.

Try local salvage yards. Any '92-00 SOHC Civic transmission will bolt up. EX model transmissions have shorter gear ratios than CX/DX/HX/LX. Only '96-98 Civic EX manual engine computers will work.
