Im new the the appearance forum. Actually i think ive been here about 5 times or so since ive joined HT. And in browsing the threads i dont recognize hardly any of the usernames here. So i decided to share my car with you folks that dont frequent the FI forum. Anyhoo. here goes nothing i guess. Any comments, or criticism are welcome, dont go too overboard. Im 18. Here goes nothing i guess.
Well to start off i purchased the car for $3000.00 when i was 16 years old. It looked like this when i purchased it

Then for a few months later. Back to stock, GSR swap, Rota C8s...few other odds and ends.

That wasnt fast enough. So i decided to do an H2B swap with a jdm h22 and a B16 tranny. Had that the longest which would be ehhh. id say about a year and a half or so. The car had 67 trips down the 1/4 mile with this setup with a best of 13.58@103 on street tires.

And finally, I decided to sell my bike and invest a little more money in my car. I purchased a car with some of the turbo things already on it, some werent. I basically got that car just for the built longblock...etc. The rest of the pictures are what ive done in the past 2-3 months or so. The car is awaiting a catch can which should be arriving monday (Thanks T1). And my valve covers bungs should be welded on tomorrow. The car made 461whp on 13lbs. Its an 84mm GSR with a t67...and alot more crap i dont feel like naming at the moment.

Just finished this up the other day. Its 4'' Aluminum. its purpose is pretty much to keep the exhaust gasses from coming through my shifter hole.

And this. This is what 300.00 will buy you from Summit. lol

Ill get some pics of the catchcan up on monday. Hopefully by then my valve cover will be done also.

I dont think i mentioned this. Im 18 years old and i did all the work myself, minus the paint. I did help prep the car for paint though. My best friend paints cars for a living among other things.

thanks for all the support fellas. but heres what i got done tonight....undecided if im gonna sand the letters on the VC yet or not.
x2, good work and I'm definitely glad u brought it back from the dead. The first pictures are hideous.
Only thing I'd do different is get rid of the "DOHC" sticker but thats just my opinion. Out here in CA "stickers get you stolen."
Good work!!!

Did you use a plastic push-on/pushlock fitting on teh gate?
I have metal ones for my tial.
Car is put together very nicely. I wish I knew what I know now back when I was 16. I wasted so much money building the 3 cars before this one.

well. my boost controller decided to be homosexual today. and it kinda yeah. didnt work at all. we ran into a few small issues on the dyno but got everything worked out. on the .9bar (13lbs) wastegate spring it made 403whp and 271tq. was expecting a little more, but the car runs great so im not gonna complain. going back soon to try out the neptune controlled pwm boost solenoid and boost by gear. hopefully i have some better number results to post of that. the car was tuned by John Kerr of Innovative MotorWerks in Carlisle PA. Id go scan the graphs, but im tired as *****. Ill do it tomorrow.
have john or derek post em on here, or it might be on there site already
very nice car, my cousin is going to get tuned by john tomorrow and idk how many times that fool has tuned my car
btw why not just buy the whole kit from t1 instead of just the cans, id imagine it would have been about the same price if not cheaper
