OT: Whats up with RealTime??
I dont know how old the footage was, and I didnt get to see the finish, but the Realtime cars were not doing so great at the Speedchannel World Challenge in DC. Im guessing the footage was relatively new since there was that Mazda Protege MP3(?) running. It just seems that the ITR's were not up to par and getting smoked badly by several other cars(BMW's, Lexus, and Mazda). Anyone catch the whole race and know if they were having some kind of problem? And when do they plan to roll out the RSX's? Seems like everyone else is going a lot faster nowadays.
Sounds liek RSX rolls out next year.
Cunningham finished 5th I think.
They kept saying the the course favored RWD and Torquey enginer due to the stop and go nature.

all it was was hairpins followed by long straights...
ITR is a momentum car.. too mant first and second gear corners, followed by loooong straights, and the ITR will get whooped.

Realtime does great.. but you cant expect them to win all of them..
Wait to see what happens to Pierre at the next race..

When you ballast and restrict the fastest car while allowing the others to have significant modifications and weight reduction you really open the door to "slower" cars having a legitimate shot at winning.
Having realized the error in their ways, the rules committe did reduce the ballast of the Type R's (finally), but it's still not enough and they still have the tb restrictor at 58mm (-4mm).

Pierre had engine trouble the whole time...he pitted early and they ripped his wireset off and replaced it, but he was sitting in the car shaking his head.
Also, about his crash, they were speculating that he must have hit a fluid from an earlier crash at that turn, cause a couple cars went into the wall at that same spot.
He's still the points leader...
And yeah, the track didnt favor the acuras, I would say P.D. proved again how damn good of a driver he is by finishing where he did!
I'm surprised no ones mentioned Harvey either. He wrecked early and came back from the BACK OF THE FIELD to finish 9th!!!

speaking of PK, he isn't the points leader anymore
I actually make my friends go to speedvisionwc.com to read me the TV schedule because I don't want to accidentally see any of those teaser banners they have that say who won and such since the race is aired so much later then it happens.
well crap, guess I shouldn't have opened this thread... now I can only guess. But I won't let my curiosity get the best of me, I'll just wait and see. And I won't come back to this thread, haha

THIS MAN HITS THE NAIL RIGHT ON THE HEAD!
exactly, anyone who has watched this series over the last 4-5 years will remember back in teh days the ITRS took the full podium just about every single race, til they slowed em down adn allowed the others to get faster, its all politicin'

They slow them down to keep a show good....Its not about the race anymore man, I hope u realize that. They need a good show so the can sell their air-time, and that won't happen when there is a three car parade every week.....not including F1
i couldn't resist...
actually - the race THIS weekend is not the one AIRED this weekend... there was another race this weekend, that will not be shown for a few weeks. The race shown on TV was in DC, in which PK was still the points leader at the end, so if he is not STILL the points leader as Yoshi implied, then he would have info from the race that actually took place this weekend, not the one that aired - of which I don't want to know about. so there.
this race aired sunday on speedvision
