My car was almost stolen recently but i got out there and stopped them in time..anyways my hood release cable is jacked up i got a new one fromthe dealer and was wondering the best way to relocate the way it goes to the latch. does anyone have a DIY on this? i tried to search for one but came up empty..any help is appriciated, thanks.

firewall to engine bay i think is the most popular, but works well too..cuz the cable runs inside the engine bay.

From inside the car, you should be able to find a grommet that leads out to the engine bay..instead of out and between the fender liner and fender, which is how honda routed it. after you find the hole to the engine bay, route it however you want, as long as you have enough slack to hook it up to the latch. I ran mine along the fender, to the headlight, then to the latch.

be careful as you get closer to the latch though. the latch is reachable by hand from under the bumper..i think? (sorry haven't owned a civic since september 07) just make the cable really difficult to reach...i think you can even route it under/behind the core support
