So last night, friday january 2nd, a friend of mine was killed in a car wreck. He's a pretty crazy driver, and his skills are no where near what he thinks they are. Anyways, he was on our local cruising strip and left a stoplight spinnin tires, one of roanoke city pd's officers turns around and lights him up, and he takes off. Ran for about 5 blocks and went to make a turn and lost control then impacted a brick house at approx. 100-110mph. Thomas was only 21, he ran because he has a driving record the size of texas and didn't want to go to jail, over a reckless driving charge that he paid the ultimate price for. I've made this thread for him, to encourage this family on honda tech to drive safe, no ticket is worth risking your life, the lives of your friends that may be in the vehicle, or an innocent persons life. The 2 passengers suffered multiple injuries, one is in intensive care and the other is non life threatening. This is a bodywork/paintjob that I hope none of you guys ever have to experience. This sure isn't the first friend I've lost due to this type of incident, but I sure hope its the last. I appreciate you guys taking your time to read this, please keep thomas' friends and family in your prayers.

Man, it's just sad how many people will take this risk without thinking. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, and thank you for posting this sobering reminder to all.

sorry for your loss, I never thought I would be impacted by something like this until it happened to the one closest to me. people really need to think before they act

Amen to that man, this hit me hard, I've got a reputation around here for driving the wheels off of a car, I used to do that same **** all the time, street racing, drawin attention from the police just to run from them. I look back now and realize how stupid that was, you can be the best driver in the world, but on the public roads there's so many variables that can lead to disaster. I still drive crazy, but I save it for the track. If you want to race your car, take it to the track, granted there's still variables but its still a controlled envirnment for purposes of racing. I appreciate the support of you guys. Thanks again and please be safe out there.
