why were you sent to the state ref,
if its because you just have a modified car and they sent you there, you can just pay the tix and get it over with if you have problems passing the inspection

move out of cali lol. R will be safer, and you can modify her without issues from "officials".

but to help. go to your dealer and get a new gas cap. and set your timing to 16*. hopefully that brings your HC/NOX to where they need to be.

seems pretty easy to return to stock if you still have your stock parts, but I thought sk2 mani was smog legal and as for the FPR and valve cover Take off and use a stock one.

Just put your car back to stock. Also get a new cat, spark plugs, o2 sensors, change oil, and make sure to clean your air filter or buy a new one. These are the things i did for my 97 gsr to pass.

i thought all state refs got laid off? i got a ticket last summer and had to just pay the ticket cuz i couldnt take it to state ref. they are just raping you.i dont think a fuel pressure regulator is illegal as long as u have it at stock fuel pressure. i have 2 valve covers one stock and another cut for when it needs to be tuned but i always roll with the stock one . call that state reff number first and see if they are even back to work .

buy a new fuel cap

buy new o2 sensors, spark plugs, spark plug wires, cap/rotor, put on stock exhaust manifold, buy a new catalytic converter

set the timing and idle to factory spec (not sure how you are confused by what that says)

Seriously, if you don't understand what mods do to your car in california, you probably shouldnt be making them.
