Default D15B1 to D16Y8

alright basically i am swapping my completely stock D15B1 to a stock D16Y8 like it says in the title i bought the complete engine for $400 form some dude and he said he would help me put it in, long story short he bailed. so i have no idea what i am doing and was wondering if anyone could at least point me in the right direction in getting this bad boy in my car its been sitting in my garage for months and i want to see it running more then anything. just like any other d-series swap, pull the old one, and install the new one. it bolts right in. your d15 is obd0. the d16y8 is obd2. my suggestion is to convert to obd1 with both. less sensors and less pain in the *** ect... i have a d16y8 also, i got it for 75 bucks though, but needs rebuilt, runs but needs rebuilt. i'd check the faq for swap information. i'd think something would be written up. if not, use guidelines from a d15-d16 swap. know what i mean?

no it dosent bolt rite in you need to take the pass side mount off the stock motor and transfer it to the Y8 .. other than that it will bolt in... you need an ecu i used a P28 obd0 to obd1 harness and made a engine harness..
