Default Swapping obd1 internal coil into obd2 external h22

2000 Prelude, picked up an internal coil obd1 distributor but I cant figure out the wireing. I want to use the internal coil, all I can find by searching is how to swap an external obd1 distributor in. I need clear intructions on how to swap in an internal coil obd1 distributor on an obd2 Prelude that came with external coil, Thanks.

Probably a little late to help you, but here it is.

It is easier to run the stock external coil and just remove the internal coil on the OBD1 distributor, but I will include info for both.

You must run the wires from your CKF and TDC sensor (located on your oil pump) to the distributor.. I usually choose to deloom the harness so that the shielding stays intact for the 4 wires that run those two sensors on the oil pump. You also must de-pin the both the 4 pin distributor plug and oil pump plug (engine harness side), and have the 8 pin OBD1 distributor plug handy.

To de-pin the plugs you remove the white piece inside the plug, and push the pin diagonally towards the small plastic clip which holds the pin in place. The pin should slide out easily with very little force.. if it does not, you are doing it incorrectly and you will damage the pin.

Here is the distributor pinout, viewed from behind the plug starting in the upper left hand corner reading left to right, top to bottom (plug clip is the top).

Pin 1 - Yellow/Green (Ignitor control, pin A20 at ECU)
Pin 2 - Blue (from oil pump) CKPP
Pin 3 - Green (from oil pump)TDCP
Pin 4 - Yellow (from 4 pin distributor plug) CYPP
Pin 5 (under pin 1) - Green (Coil output from dist. plug)
Pin 6 - White (from oil pump) CKPN
Pin 7 - Red (from oil pump) TDCN
Pin 8 - Black (from 4 pin dist. plug) CYPN

The 2 pin plug stays the same.

To convert to internal coil, you do all the steps above but omit the green wire (pin 5) from the distributor, and splice the following wires at the external coil plug - yellow, and black/yellow.

Cheers,
-Scott
