Default 94 accord shifting weird

when i drive my 94 accord, you can put the in neutral without stepping on the clutch. it goes from gear into neutral and doesnt grind or anything.

any ideas?

Completely normal, but I wouldn't advise doing it very much. (and most certainly not under a load)
You can actually induce a 'sweet spot', where there is no load transmission between the Engine and Transmission. At that point, just the weight of your hand can pull the shifter out of gear without using the clutch.
Going from neutral into gear is a little more problamatic, but I've done it.

If it starts popping out of gear on it's own, THEN you've got a problem

Yeh, that shifting style doesn't really lend itself to High performance Driving, but it's pretty good for the "shock value"

taking it out of gear is normal not to have a grind, "floating" a gear is putting it IN gear with out using the clutch, this is only normally done in big strait trucks, you have to have the exact right RPM for this.
