Experiences that made you respect the S2000?
Have any of you guys had a driving experience that made you change the way you think about your car and maybe even respect it more? Post up what happened if you have.
Last night I was driving and I totally lost it. I was passing someone and hit a little bit of leftover sand from the snow storm and spun out. I really didn't expect the car to do that but now I kind of respect it for the fact that it can and will if i don't drive it right.

S2000 is one of the last refined driving cars without all the traction control steering, breaking computer bullshit.
Drive it hard, mess up and it will bite you in the ***, luckily i learned quick at 16 with a Toyota MR2

U-turning at 30 mph and zig zagged left and right for a good 200 feet. (countersteering too much) meh, over a year ago and hasn't happened since.
I know the AP1's are twitchier with their different tire and suspension settings compared to the AP2. my AP2 has been great so far, likes to be pushed hard in the turns and I can control oversteer/understeer with the throttle no problem. it just needs more power and the stock motor is more than happy to take boost
IIRC, it was my third session at an '04 track day at Laguna Seca.
I finally perfected the basic line around the track and passed a few cars in the process. That really made me

LOL, One time I in my S2000 getting on the highway (I-90 off rt31) and its wet out. I pay the toll and start moving at the normal rate then soon as I shift into 2nd gear normally the whole *** whips out and Im facing the wrong way. This was about a year ago when the car was 100% stock and I wasnt doing any thing wrong...
fished tailed on the 605 and 5fwy on-ramp next to honda world. bent a wheel and rubbed the bumper. I wasn't trying to drive like a jacka*s, I just didn't know how much respect you need to have while driving this beast!
To the people saying the rear end stepped out for no reason at all.......BS. You may not have been driving foolishly but you were in control of the car, don't give me the senile old woman "my car just took off and ran down three people on it's own" song and dance. I have owned my S2K for years now and have driven it in everything from the sunniest most perfect days to ice and snow covered roads and everything in between, and not once has the car done anything that was not directly related to my input.
Not trying to rile anyone up, seriously I'm not, but don't blame a car for poor driving skills or a lack of knowledge on how to handle a situation like oversteer (even if it comes abruptly).

Rear kicked out around a corner, got stupid and slammed the brakes
Skidded into someones gravel yard and headed straight for this wood thing in the middle
Got it turned to the left just in time to miss hitting the g sensor by 6 inches
Ended up blasting wood thing, messing up my bumper, rad support, and getting rocks between tire & rim
Didn't do too much damage to the car, just a couple small gouges in the bumper but I learned. No more stupidity.
