When I turn it on the first click is does not work but the 2nd and 3rd click works. I have a 98 Civic. And usually when I clean my windows it automatically turns on the wipers.

 

Wiper switch is bad, replace it.

I don't know about your local junkyards, but around here they charge $25 for the switch. If they charge the same you are better off going with a new one thru honda. That way you know it will work. I was charged $25 plus shipping for a new one. Just a thought though.

so try turning on your head lights and see waht happens :p

I just gave that a try and it actually works normal now. Weird its acting retarded. I turned on the lights and try it out as well with the lights off. Same thing.

 

$25 for a switch? Before I knew people at my local yard, it was $15, and the other day I got an entire tilt column with wheel and switches for $10.
