Default car not starting but battery not drained?

so im thinking its the alternator after a friend diagnosed my symptoms.

Well for some reason my car didnt start about a week ago i didnt know what it could have been, i thought it was my busted ipod that i left connected drained the battery.

Well for some reason my car doesnt want to start so i have to jump it.
Yesterday it didnt start again but i touched something on the postive battery cable and then the lights and the beeping that my door was open started to go on and then i was able to start the car.

So today every time i turned my car off i had to jump my car. Last time i was pulling out in reverse and the car just died that was crazy.

Sometimes it will always start then later in the day it wont, please give me some ideas Crossing my fingers for a loose connection that i can find, i really cant afford to change the alternator now but well see

that sounds to me more like your positive cable is bad, if everything started working when you touched it, it probably has corrosion inside the wire, and is not conducting properly.

Positive cable making poor connection at the terminal or battery post.

alright guys thanks another thing is this ok
like lets says i open my car the interior lights turn on dome lights
but if i switch to my headlights everything shuts off, now if i close my door open it again the lights work but again headlights turn them off.

im so confused as to what to do i have another alternator thanks to atif importsnrice but dont have time till next friday to get it in. Do you guys think its bad to keep jumping the car. i think im going to remove my sub i have a power source going to the postive cable.

It all happened after i took a big hit of snow like i turned and didnt notice the mound of snow maybe that made something loose?

im pretty sure something shorted out if you've cleaned your battery terminals and the connectors and made sure the pos cable is torqued down correctly

check ground wire to bottom of tranny; check negative wire of battery (black). Wiggle it (if its green and disentigrating replace it with similar sized wire.) and if its loose tighten it down.

Just get some new terminals from Murrays and slap those on, can't go wrong for 5 bucks!
