97-01 Prelude Questions
I saw a thread on here awhile ago about it but can't find it. My DB8 was stolen a few weeks back and I'm thinking of going with a Prelude as my next car. I was wondering what I should be looking for/checking when I go test drive these. There's a 97 for sale with 114k going for 6500, it's clean title/manual. Good deal? I remember the last thread I saw saying something about timing belts being the only real problems with these. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I recently bought a 2001 Type SH with 50,000 miles. I paid double what your '97 is going for, but the car is perfect. I had the timing belts changed (age over mileage) and the rear upper strut mounts replaced (bad clunking noise).
The car just flows in the curves: I highly recommend a Type SH for the ATTS, it keeps it neutral in the turns.
