Hi there,

I´ve made a custom Cold Air feed to my J´s Racing intake, and I would like to hear what you guys think about this. What can be improved and so on.

Here in Sweden its full winter now so I cant test my setup until like beginning of may so therefore let me hear what you think about this. Please give me some pointers of what to improve. My car will only be used at the track and gymkhana, no dragracing.

Here the pictures:

Please try to keep it constructive.

I dont care about the looks, i only care about the function.
I want cold air and maximum performance and throttle response.

looks like there is a lot of slack in the hose. Have you tried a shorter length with maybe a clamp to secure it? And since the filter is an open ended design why not just run the ducting right off the filter?

You won't notice a difference.

is that an air tight hose, looks like it has little holes in it. I would imagine a solid hose would work better......

cant you remove your passenger side headlight when you race it seems like that would force more air to the filter

The hose is air tight and fire proofed.

I will measure the intake temperature to see if the feed actually has an effect or not.

looks like it should "ram" cold air in. like others have said, smoothe out the piping by ither using PVC piping, aluminum piping or whatever. you're on the right track.

you should make a box to keep that cold air you are sucking in from the bumper going into the filter. the way you have it now is the doing nothing. the intake is still sucking air in from the engine bay. you need to make a sealed compartment for the filter to ensure that the air the tube from the bumper is going into the intake.

Agree,
Just take out the right side headlight when you track it.
