Default 2.0 hp/tq

I've been checking out alot of dynos on the net and I'm wondering why can'y honda 2.0's make nearly the same tq as other wrx's and dsm's? I've seen a wrx dyno and it made 413whp/ 381wtq. I know a boxer engine will make more tq but I've also seen dsm's with the tq just right behind the hp. Why do they make so much more tq than us? Especially so much lower in the powerband. Is it from there rod ratio, smaller turbo, head design, intake manifold?

smaller ports. This allows them to generate torque earlier, at the expense of hp on top end.

John what kind of whp/wtq are you expecting out of your 2.0 buildup? Is it safe to say that by getting a honda head P&P, large TB, large intake manifold that it would hurt tq even more?

Have you ever Looked at a the Ports of a 2L 4g63 DSM Head? They are way bigger than on any honda, Fuel cut is 7500 RPMs on stock DSM.
