I was doing an engine swap on my 97 civic ex d16y8 When i was taking out the engine i broke a sensor but i dont know what it is. It is located above the oil filter. there are two sensor above the oil filter and it is the sensor on the top

 

they should be side by side. if your looking at it like your changing your oil filter, the one on the right is your knock sensor, the left is the oil pressure switch

 

no they are up and down. on my crx they are side by side.

 

on the block or cylinder head? the Y8 engine has what i just said in my first post on the block.

 

it is more then likley the knock sensor, which is a little up and to the left of the oil pressure sensor

 

the one with the single wire to a feamle connector is your oil pressure, should be in a black rubber bell shaped boot. the other one is a knock should be a round plug.
