Rust on my 93 coupe si.

Not too too bad..

So theres the two pen sized dots you can see.
Also, all inside that half inch round in from the quarter is all rusted.

How should i do this? Sandblast it then bondo it, the paint?

Grind it, bondo and paint?

Its probably a little pitted as well..
any help is appreciated, thanks

 

id grind it, fill in hole with a mig welder, then bondo over that

 

what about that little lip inside my quarter?

i would cut it out and replace it , they make smaller
replacement quarter panels..just for the simple fact
that no matter how many times you grind it down
or paint over its eventually going to come back
through..just something to think about.

 

if done right it wont come back, as for the lip i would say (if you dont want to spend a lot of money) grind it too and maybe try to find some of that rust converter stuff but idk how well it works

 

Welcome to the world of Honda Cancer.

Not sure what it was, but the EG's really tended to rust in that area along with the Accords from that time. The only way to trully fix it is to cut it out and weld a new piece in otherwise it'll eventually come back.

 

You have to remove all the rust and replace what needs to be or it will just come back.
