i have a obd1 b16a sir2 motor in my obd2 97 del sol s i need to know how to hook up my evap canister

 

the b16a has all the purge valves and map sensor mounted on the firewall and did not come with the engine. the original del sol had the map on the throttle body and the evap purge valve on the intake manifold can i just run a vacume hose from the evap canister into the throttle body or would that be bad

 

also could i just plug the throttle body and not have any hose on the evap canister? i live in louisiana so i dont need to pass emissions im just worried about performance
