i was wondering what you would expect to get with that much boost on a 97 lude with everything put on the car correctly.I dont know how big the injectors will be , i wanna get to about 300 whp. So I would like to know it that is realistic or not on a base lude with boost on it?

 

The right turbo + tune will max you out at around 400whp with about 8psi of boost. So your goal of 300whp is realistic. Do your research, try not to ask questions like these because they have been covered plenty of times.

 

yes that is realistic. I put down 269hp on 4.9 lbs of boost on a 98 base with t3/t04e turbo. tuned on Neptune.

it depends on the turbo and if its a kit or a custom pieced together kit. my friend just made 275whp 230wtq on 5.5psi on a gt35r with synapse manifold 1000cc injectors tuned by tony palo on s300. t3 turbo with .82/ar ported shroud vband.

its a garrett turbo. a very popular one, i suggest looking more into turbo if you havent even heard of that. no offense intended. try the f/i section of preludepower.com theres some good info in there and plently floating around here as well.

 

yeah i am new to the turbo idea. I am quickly learning how much work there is involved this the only way to learn, to ask questions thanks for understanding.

 

is it just me or does that turbo and injector setup seem a little big for what he is pushing? the garrett website says a gt35r is for a car ~ 2.0-4.5 liter and ~400-600 hp.

 

show me how many 400whp @ 8psi h22 setups you have seen...? If you ment 400hp then yea.

 

and what are the quarter mile times of these sub 5 psi turbo set ups?
