'01 EX Civic road noise - can this be reduced
I am happy with this car mechanically, but I wonder if there is anything reasonable people do to make the cabin a little quieter. The whole car is stock and everything is in great condition. It has 126,000.
Thanks for your input.

These cars are known for their road noise. You could try different tires, and additional sound deadening material. It may help, but it's not going to be like driving a Cadillac or Mercedes. It's just one of those things that comes along with owning an affordable economy car vs. a luxury touring car.
I don't hear it, due to my sound system.

I'm with him, it's just something that comes with the territory. Tearing down the interior and coating it with bedliner, Dynamat, or both, is very time consuming and/or expensive to do or have done.
Agreed, something that goes along with a luxury car. Honda is typically getting better at reducing noise as newer models come out, but notice they're getting heavier and heavier (also with the addition of other luxuries). You could make sure all your window seals are nice and tight, cause sometimes they flap or vibrate at certain speeds and add to the noise.
other possible solutions:
-get a good sound system and turn it up,
-embrace road noise or get a cat-back and listen to that.
