I had an Exedy S/P as well, and it was great for my N/A y8...after I put on an Apexi turbo kit it would slip all the way through first.
Exedy S/P is a good choice for a DD. Somewhat long engagement, firm (but not bionic leg) pedal feel and decent price. If you beat your car (clutch drops, street race.. yO) it might be a little weak for you.

yea the guy said there is a exedy stage 1 i believe............ sigh this car is gonna be my dd and sometimes i feel a little crazy car so i want somethin nice my last car went from a six puck to a stock clutch from salvo auto parts yuk i hated it so maby act stage2 or 3 then by the way this is cable clutch not hydro ps thanks for the links
My friend has a Exedy stage 1, and to me it feels like stock clutch....I have a LSD Motorsports 6 puck w/springs (stage 3 clutch)...and I love it. It is hard and needs a little practice to get it going, but it grabs like hell, and if you are planning to beef the engine up someday, go for it.
i daily a b16 with a 6 puck sprung clutch.
good clutch grabs hard just real annoying for dd. You get alot of chatter from it, say your going like 5 miles an hour then you have to slow a bit to like 2 mph and you had already put the car in nuetural, now with a stock clutch you would put it in first and dump the clutch, and it would be smooth, now with the 6 puck you will get lots of chatter no matter if you dump it or slip it, or whatever.
Imo go for it

so basicly with 6 puck no light speeding like 5-10 mph in first or 2nd gear in that case i may do it i just worried light launches caz i know someone who use to rev the crapout of there car so there was no harshness in the take off
6 pucks arent as hard to drive as everyone makes them out to be. I drove a unsprung 6puck in a wrx for a while and you get used to it fairly quickly and you can make DDing almost as easy as stock. its all in your technique. in my EF i use an exedy stage 1 and i love it for what I have done, grabs 100% and handles me ******* it out a lot lol
i think i might see how my exedy holds up if not i go act six puck sprung no ebay clutch i had one that was supose to be oem spec lol yea right sliped like 2yr old on ice skates
Weird.. I have a ACT unsprung 6 puck in my Crx for almost 2 years.. It's hasn't damaged it one bit.
As long as your not an idiot with it, it's fine.. but also on note, this isn't a DD clutch you wana have. I'm going back to my dual fiction center force, for this summer, grabs harder then stock with a softer feel.
