I'm 23 year old male, no wreaks, no tickets with a Type-S. I pay a little less than 600 $ every 6 months, but I carry more insurance than the 'recommended' level. It would be cheaper if you have your parents add you to their coverage than going solo with it.

1) First of all you are in california so I do thank the guys here for trying you help you out with how much they pay for insurance but you have to keep in mind that all states even counties/city have different rates.
2) You are 16 years old and no matter what, your insurance is going to be high.
3) The guys here are correct. If you are trying to save some $ then it would be better to add you to your parents policy. Otherwise be prepare to pay $$$ until you are 25 years old then your insurance premium should start showing a decrease.

^^ The 25 year old thing doesn't apply to girls because they are "better" drivers, at least in the eyes of insurance companies!
There's a member on here who lives in Cali that has hookups with a State Farm insurance rep, I would contact him and see if he can help you.
So based on this thread, is the RSX a girls car??

FWIW, my insurance is $1200/year and I'm 23 with a perfect record. I drive an EP3 although I imagine the insurance rates would be similar?

I pay 215 per month with full coverage and I have no tickets or accidents and I'm not the only car on my insurance so I don't know why mine is so high haha.
I do have a friend that's 19 and she pays 150 per month with full coverage and she drives a Type-S.

The base rate for an RSX is going to be high. What will help it are discounts. Multipolicy discount, good student, good driver (you dont have enough driving experience to qualify), homeowners discount, life insurance discount, and there are a few more.
Things like good student and good driver discount take off 20-30% for each discount, so they really help in lowering your rates.
With that said, you're not going to get to your own policy with almost all big name insurance companies. They generally require someone 21 or 25 and older in order to be insured from these companies. Call your parents insurance company and ask to get a quote from them with your parents as the primary and you as the secondary.
I pay about 700 every 6 months for 50/150/50 liability, full coverage, and with rental coverage.
21 and 1500 for 6month. but something happen it went to 600!!=] better then 1500

LOL HT hahah, Dude, Shes only 16..........hahahah. But anyways on topic, Rsx are gonna be pricey on the Insurance if your that young unless put on your parents insurance, stating that Your parents have good premiums as well. I payed about 100 a month full coverage when I first got my 04 type S and on my parents policy. Im 20 now and have a Salvaged 05 Type S w/ a little more but not far from "liability" insurance and im paying 147.xx a month. since its salvaged most insurance wont fully cover my car but Ive gotten rates and ..........not to good
