Wheel fitment 225 17 7.5 25+ all around
Not what i wanted intially but it was available to me for free so i ran with it on my evo. Just don't have the funds to buy new wheels for the S2k as yet so i want to Time attack with this set up. Thanks for reply and advice i really appreciate it.
I tried fitting RPF1's 17x8 +35 from an evo on the front with a 235 tire and it looks like to make it even remotely close to work its going to take alot of creativity and trial and error.

The lower the offset number, the more they will stick out of the fender.
Imagine that you have a 8'' wide wheel. If you have a 0 offset, the hub will be right in the centerline of the wheel. So you'll have 4'' of wheel sticking IN from the mounting point and 4'' sticking OUT of the mounting point.
If you have a +25mm offset on a 8'' wheel, the hub has moved 25mm towards the outside of the wheel. 25mm is roughly 1''. So you will now have 5'' sticking inwards. 3'' sticking outwards.
That's how offsets work.
If you're actually going to DRIVE the car (time attack), you'll want wheels wide enough to support wide tires...but not so agressive with offsets and widths that the wheels rub on turns.
If you're not using stock fenders, obviously you can go much more agressive.
There are a lot of people on here using offsets that really shouldn't fit...but they make them fit with lots of negative camber, fender rolling, skinny tires, and turning a deaf ear to scraping. They also don't usually use them on the track in that situation.
If you're keeping your stock fenders with a little work and racing the car, do like a 17X8+mid/high 40'S offset (front). and a 17x9 +high 40's to low 60s offset (rear).
You can use a 225/45/17 front tire and a 255/40/17 rear tire. That's a pretty decent setup. If you're lowered, you'll have to crush front and rear fender lips, cut a slit in your front fender liner, and bend the tabs up on your front fenders. You'll also have to relocate the rear bumper tab.
If you're willing to flare out your front fenders and possibly have them repainted, you can go with 17x9+45s all around with 255/40/17s all around. That's a very popular setup for time attack S2000s.
If you're running stock height, I'm pretty sure you can run 17x9+45 with 255/40/17s all around without any fender work.

BTW, your 17x7.5 +25s are going to fit just like 17x9 +45s as far as "flushness" with fenders goes. If the car is lowered, the fronts may need some work or you'll have to run a skinny tire.
9+45 will work best all around if u want to run that, but I didnt like how the +45 looked in the rear compared to the fronts. so +35 was the next best up for me.
and just fyi, the new civics like the new civic type r in japan can run a 9.5 with lower offsets, all around with no problem, thats sad when the s2 cant even do that.

meh. different hub and fender designs. It would be nice to fit something fat under the fenders of the S2000, though. If the S2000 had fenders as big as a 350Z or something....
It'd be nice to stuff like a 285/35/18 slick/R comp underneath there.

i agree.. its whack that the s2 needs to run worst than civic offsets. LOL
Flush? Fine.
Camber to get it under the fenders? Fine.
Sticking out of the fender lines like a 1984 corolla on 12x9 gold daytons? Give me stock rims, Seriously.
Yeah, and I think its extremely retarded looking with the wheel and tire sticking out of the fenderlines like that.

Because buying something that fits your car and matching your fender lines that dont make your car look like **** is the difference between...
