Audio in the center console
What mp3 players are supported on the USB pigtail in the center console? I know creative's arent' (which would figure, because that's what I've got).
I assume it's for iPods, but are they they only thing's that you can control through the headunit?

what USB pigtail in the center console?
do you have the music link or something?
if it's the music link, then it's iPod specific made to interface with apple's proprietary software.
if you have navi then there's a PCMCIA slot that you can use with an adapter and a memory card to browse and play music from.

I've got an 09 SI. :dunno: I didn't pay for any options. I'll take a picture of it tonight. It's just a gray USB pigtail in the center console.
Yep. It's got a cover that says USB on it and it's a standard USB Plug. I plugged in my Creative player and it recognizes it, but when you click on the aux button on the radio it displays a "Not supported" message or something like that. I tried to take a picture with my phone, but it came out really poorly. I'll get a decent one later at home with a better camera.

I have read/heard quite a few times about Creative not synching with all software or devices. It's a cheaper brand so sometimes they don't synch up to everything, for whatever reason.
Because sometimes, people like to be able to see the song they are playing, not just cycle through them in a random order. The flash drive would definitely be good for a party though.
I would think that the stereo shows the folders right? I know when I put in a MP3 disk the stereo shows the folders. I know on my flash drive each cd has its own folder.
OK, this is weird. I just bought a used 2009 Civic LX and there's nothing in the center console. No cable, no plug, not even a hole where that stuff might go. How does this happen? Can you buy the car new and ask them not to put that in? Did the previous owner take it out because his kid was playing loud music?
