I have a 96 civic ex, i just ordered my f20b, i had an h22a1 in there last year, but im a little confused about wiring. I have a new ek harness and my motor comes with the harness, but i need help with the iab wiring. Also i plan on running my chipped p28, thats gonna be tuned with crome. So i need to know what has to be changed so i can run my p28.

 

Your run of the mill P28 doesn't have control over IABs, so your choices are either use an RPM-based window switch ($30-$130), get rid of the IABs ($0) or get a Skunk2 or EuroR manifold. IIRC, Xenocron can add bypass control to P28s for a fee..check his website.

 

so what if i decide to order a f20b manual ecu, then dp i just get an f20b ecu pinout and a 96 civic ex pinout and just run iab wire, and pin it to the pinout on the f20b ecu???

 

You could; then you wouldn't need to modify the intake manifold.

 

is there anyway to run my p28 so i can tune it???

 

Use an OBD2 to OBD1 jumper harness..pretty easy. Don't tune it yourself unless you know what you're doing.
