Default Dash Removal Question-------

Can anyone tell me how to remove the cover that goes around the radio/ temperature controls and back across, houses the power mirror/sunroof switches. It's one long piece.
Looks as if it comes off. Don't tell me I have to remove the entire dash to get this off? Need to replace because some dick jacked my radio and brke this in the process.
Found a sticky on it but was for removing the entire dash?

you need to take the cover under the steering column off, then the glovebox, then the cover under the radio trim rin. There will be four 8mm bolts you will have to take out then it should come out. Be carefull the plastic that holds the clips is very weak

if this is for an eg, i had to take my whole dash out, there was like 9 screws.
somebody just recently broke into my car and did the same thing cracking the climate control and dash trim, trying to take my radio out....amatuers... didn't even get the radio out they just broke it and took off with my tools.

anyways, pulling an eg dash is real easy. i think the hardest part about it is pulling the damn climate control, unless you have some circus carnie hands. literally theres only 6 bolts holding the dash on. after you take off the lower center console, glove box, and little covers, etc.

i also just removed my steering wheel instead of dropping it.. im sure its easy just hadn't done that one before.
