how to fill in several chips and buff hood
I bought a black 89 crx. it has several chips in the hood. im trying to avoid a full paint job. Should i just buy some black touch up paint at the auto store, fill in the chips and then give it a good buffing? My brother just got a buffer. I know little about it but that it is a good one. i figure this car should be great for both of us to learn on. an info or links is appreciated.
Thanks

but if you buy touch up paint..touch it up..let it dry..then wet sands the spots u touched up and buff at a higher speed to bring back shine

trying to avoid a paint job. don't think i could find one for $50. what size grain should i use to wet sand?
$50 dollar paint job is using the tremcald method..there a write up on here...ive done it before..if done right....totally worth
and use 1500 grit...pre soak paper for 15 minutes in warm water so you have a uniform grit on paper..than make sure ur surface is always wet while sanding

Its in this forum... Title it "50 dollar paint job!!!" Never tried it, but seems as if patience and good prep work equals pretty good results. Otherwise try the touchup paint and wet sanding
