How to check/change manual tranny fluid
there are two bolts on the bottom passenger side of the tranny,,,loosen the bottom one with a ratchet head....drain it all out....re torque that on to 18 ft. lbs.
take off the bolt above it...believe its about 17mm....fill with the car level using a funnel with a tube on it....fill until the fluid starts dripping out of the fill hole....thats it...torque that bolt down and go have fun!!!!
make sure to use honda mtf on a 5/6 speed manual

ok but in order to check it does it have to be cool, hot, warm, cold? how do i actually check it to see if it needs to be changed and what do i look for because my car has 124,000 miles on it and i dont think that it has ever been changed because the owner before me didnt change anything i dont think because when i got the car i pulled the plugs and they were the worst that i have ever seen in my life
yeah...there is no need to check the fluid....just change it out....I dont think there is a way to check the level of manual transmission fluid on preludes.
