Yeah i know lol, i tried to convince her to do staggered fitment, but it was a little out of her price range lol. I work at Discount Tire Co. so i got her wheels at cost and it was still like $400 for all four wheels. She just got this car about 4 months and the wheels is the only thing she has done to it. They were silver before i had them powdercoated. But hopefully soon we'll have some coilovers on it and looking sick.
As much as you are right, you are also wrong. Thats an OEM type R valve cover. They have the spot where he has his ground shaved off and bare metal for that purpose!.. AND the hole you are speaking of.. hase powdercoat on it. Dont u think if honda wanted it to be grounded there they would have shaved off the powdercoat also

Here I'll dumb it down and put it in H-T type:
The metal shi t has to touch the metal shi t which touches the metal shi t that attaches to the big metal sh it on top of the block.
Edit:
Plus where that valve cover is grounded at this point is actually where another OEM accessory goes if I'm not mistaken, not the valve cover ground.

The valve cover pretty much floats on the head on rubber gaskets..... In order to properly ground the cover you have to have contact between the electrical connector and the nut for the valve cover stud. The metal nut is threaded on to the metal stud which is threaded in to the head itself. Pretty simple really........
