Default RSX vs RSX-S for purchase?

I've only been hearing about how great the RSX-S is and comparisons of that to the GSR, but rarely about the base model RSX. I'm considering getting one in the near future and i'm wondering, is it really that bad? My main concern is actually insurance. My friend with an RSX-S is paying 3,000 a year on insurance alone. I'm sure the base model is cheaper by a good percentage, but how much is the difference really going to be?

I use to have a teg LS and my bud had a GSR I paid $150.00 a month on the LS considering it was when I was 18 (he is same age) and he paid about $35-50 dollars more a month (I forget).

I now drive a 92 hatchback and pay $66 bucks a month WOO HOO.

I'm 22 now, there was a substantial increase after I turned 21 but 25 should be better but by then I will be an old fart.... so for the blah blah blahing....

usually price difference is only about 20 - 30 dollars, it only costs me 20 bucks more to insure the type R , than it would to insure a Gs-r...go for the Type S

Well im 21 with a clean record and no accidents (that were my fault, hehe and so do not go to the insurance, both were when someone hit and ran 2 times on me while I was in my 77 chevy, no damage was done so the insurance didnt need to know) and I pay $2664.oo which comes to 222.oo a month for my Type S.

I was with Farmers insurance when I got my Type S and they wanted $10,800 a year from me which comes to 9oo.oo a month..WTF??
When my brother got his type R he was 22 and was clean as well, Farmers wanted $13,200 a year which comes to 11oo.oo a month..I have been hearing that famers has jacked thier rates up hardcore and alot of people have dropped them. My new insurance company told me that Farmers really doesn't like to cover kids but only does it because they want the parents. I wanted my own policy and they still acted dumb. So I am now with Progressive and pay 222 a month and my brother pays 220 a month.. Much better and the service is alot better as well..

Best thing to do is look around for the best coverage bro. Good Luck..

Your best bet is to quote prices from various auto insurance agents.
Everyone's situation is different.
