i have to replace my crank seal b/c its leaking. my uncle at honda usually does work for me and he uses an impact wrench to get my pulley bolt off.
i dont have one and i dont have that special tool. is there anyway i can get the bolt loose using the tools that i have?
p.s. i know this is asked a lot, but i rather smash my face off the ground right now than to use h-ts shitty vb search

well, ive tried several with out with not much luck. is the engine still in the car and running? if so just go to a local mechanic shop or tire shop and give em a few bucks to break it loose and snug it back on. thas what ive done when i had no access to air and a decent gun.
no you dont drive with it loose, you justdont have it uber torqued anymore...they just snug it backup with a rachet, then you can unsnug it when you get home, if you dontwant to half *** it than just buy the right tools

exactly. its not like its gonna come out if its tight. its just not going to be so tight that you need special tools.
buying the tool is cool, but you still need a BIG breaker bar. and its still kinda a pain.
but let us know how it goes.
My timming belt broke on my way home from work about a week ago so I was in the same predicament. Found this searching the forums, http://honda.lioness.googlepages.com...eyholdingtools. I had a scrap piece of angle, drilled two holes, found two long bolts and a short cheater on a breaker bar and the bolt came loose really easy. It took me longer to jack up the car and put it on jackstands than it did to make the tool and break the bolt loose.
u can put the ratchet on with an extension that hits the ground then crack it slightly...it'll break it loose then after ur done get it as tight as u can then take it to get torqued (it'll be ok for a short drive)
the time i tried to take off my crank pulley bolt without the right tools it cost me 3 craftsmen ratchets,2 pro pain torches , a couple of 1/2 19mm sockets and almost my friends leg!!! but thats a whole other story lol another friend of mine lent me the tool the ****ing blot came right out with no problem!! I bought mine off the the matcho truck..very niccce
