93 accord idle and misfire issue after swap--searched--
i searched but nothing seems to fit. like the title says i am having a few issue with a swap on the accord. just put a 94 ex f22 w/vtec motor in to a 93 ex that was not vtec. its a auto tranny. i used the ecu from the 94 hard wired all the vtec stuff. also using the dizzy from the 93. it has new cap and rotor. Now here are my issues:
first NO CEL codes (it does work lol)
sounds like car is running on 3 cylinders (subaru noise) at idle but at full throttle when stopped or under acceleration it runs on all 4. it accelerates smoothly not sluggish or slower then it should be.
at idle cylinder 4 is misfiring, the runner on the header doesn’t get hot. It’s got compression 140 across the board. spark (new cap and rotor) and fuel. I changed injector, spark plug and wire. I also checked the injector, it is getting power when car is running 14v +-.5v.
i triple checked the vacuum diagram the only thing that’s different is the map sensor, i am still using the one from the 93 motor (the one mounted on the fire wall in the black box) and no CEL.
also the motor hesitates from idle to 1200 rpm or so
sorry for the long post lol
any help is much appreciated

i have this exact same problem... any idea whats going on?
im getting a code for the EGR also though. not sure if that would affect the idle.

Wow can't believe this thread is back from the dead lol, the problem I had ended up being ecu wiring. The 94 ecu while being obd1 just like the 93, had 2 wires in different places on the plugs. I ended up getting the pinouts for both ecu's and going through each plug till I found the 2 that are different. Sorry I can't remember which 2, as it was over a year ago.
