Well I just changed over my lude this weekend to e85, and after tuning, advancing the timing and fuel pressure. It runs so much better than on premium, at 1.45 a gallon, yeah it burns faster but its getting boosted next weekend when my wg and bov get here. the inital timing at idle is 26deg btc. I played with locking the rockers because the e85 like the high lobe but I cant decide if I will leave it because I still want good mpgs. Just thought I would let anyone know its an easy change over and well worth it.
That may be so (the higher octane rating vs lower energy output) and all, but you have to be careful of what cars you stick E85 in. Newer cars (those that say FlexFlue, E85, and some others) may be fine, but older cars the extra alcohol can eat certain rubber gaskets and fittings away.
