Default quick pricing question

local guy is selling a B18C5 block for $400
b18c5 shortblock
81.25mm
oem pistons
oem crank
comes with oil pan but no sensors, hoses, pcv box

needs to be reringed. had good compression but did burn oil.

400 FIRM
i just want the crank, rods, and pistons to do a B16 stroker...my question is how much could i get for the block if i sell it?

Default Re: quick pricing question

bare block. probably not very much. i'm thinking $100 tops. me personally i wouldn't pay any more than $75 and that would be if i really needed one for some reason. but i'm kinda biased because i don't care about it being a type r block. to me a bare type r block is just another 1.8l. but you never know someone might be into the typr r name and pay more for it. good luck if you do it though.
