225/50/16 rubs need advice
Is using the correct tire size an option? What size wheels with what offset are you running? Where does it rub?
FYI, 225/50/16 is 0.8" wider and 0.8" taller than 205/50/16. That's pretty significant.

You didn't answer the first question. And "rubbing on top" isn't terribly helpful. Inside edge of tire? Outside edge of tire? Can you see rub marks in the wheel well? Can you find out for sure the dimensions of your wheel?
To answer your first question, yes it would be possible, but not exactly easy. They're my only tires and I got them from The Tire Rack. To put it a better way, in the front the wheel wells bottom out on the tires and in the rear the suspensions bottoming out on the tires. those are the correct specs.

Im assuming he wants to keep the wheels he has now.
when is it rubbing? when you hit a bump, take a hard corner, or just when you cut the wheel hard?
You should be running a 225/45/16, or a 205/50/16, those would be the correct sizes.
If you rub when hitting a bump, stiffer shocks MIGHT help, but as far as the other two go, you will need the correct tire size.

that means that when your suspension is under load(cornering) your tires rub, stiffer shocks will not stop that, only stiffer springs, and then they would have to be stock height. You will have to live with it, or get the right size tires.
Either live with the rubbing (the tire will most likely wear to fit the available space), upgrade the springs to counter the body roll that's causing the rubbing, stop driving so aggressively, or get a big hammer and beat the protruding bits of wheel well in to provide the necessry clearance. You have options. I would not attempt to return your used tires to the Tire Rack just because you did not do the required research to verify fitment in your application.
