You've got three options:
1) Refer to the Installation Instructions that came with it.
2) Take this inquiry to an Audio forum
3) Chase down the guy who's trunk you bought it out of and ask HIM to install it.

OR you can try these guys.

pics of the back of the equalizer would help, but usually its regular power ground and constant, then for the audio part the outputs of the stereo go to the inputs on the eq and the outputs of the eq go to the amp/amps

You may either connect the electrical wiring or install your
Equalizer/Booster first-- whichever is most convenient for you. If, after
reading the following instructions, you are unsure about performing the
installation (questions like, "Is my car negative ground? Which cord is
the power cable? How do I connect to the fuse box?"), we suggest you have
the Booster installed by a qualified electronics technician. IMPROPER
WIRING OF THE POWER BOOSTER COULD DAMAGE YOUR CAR'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.

ELECTRICAL WIRING

1. Fasten the single black wire from the Equalizer/Booster to a
convenient metal frame ground connection of your vehicle
(or to the [-] battery terminal).

2. Connect the front and rear speaker wires to the speakers.

3. Connect the single red wire that terminates in a spade lug to a source
of +12 volts DC.

IMPORTANT WIRING NOTE

Each speaker must have a separate ground wire connection. Do not use a
common wire for the minus (-) side of the speakers. Do not connect the
minus (-) side of the speakers to a common ground point.

CAUTION:

If your stereo radio or tape player requires a connector that differs from
the one supplied with your Equalizer/Booster, we suggest you take your car
to a qualified electronics service technician and have the unit rewired.
They may find our Universal Car Stereo Connector (Cat. No. 270-017)
helpful in making these connections.

Improper connections can result in damage to the Equalizer/Booster, radio,
tape player, or even to the wiring of your vehicle.

IN-LINE FUSES

If existing fuses for the radio or tape player are 2A or 3A, use a 7A fuse
between the Equalizer/Booster and 12-volt power source. If the radio or
tape player comes with a 4A or 5A fuse, then use a 10A fuse between the
Equalizer/Booster and power source (i.e. the fuse to 12-volt power source
must always be higher than the rating of the fuse for the radio or tape
player).

7A fuses come supplied with the Equalizer/Booster. Change as required if
your radio or tape player uses other than a 3A fuse.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

HIGH IMPEDANCE INPUT

If the device which will be connected (tape player, radio) to your Booster
has a HIGH impedance output, use the High Impedance Line input of the
Booster. Two RCA jacks are provided for this connection. Use an
extension cable with RCA plugs on either end if need be. Then, be sure to
disconnect the LOW impedance input by separating the two square 4 pin
connectors. However, be sure to plug the round 5 pin plug into the rear
receptacle provided on your radio or tape player.

LOW IMPEDANCE INPUT

If the output of your tape player or radio is low impedance, then do not
use the RCA input jacks. Instead, connect the square 4 pin plug and jack
between the radio or tape player and the Booster. Be sure to insert the 5
pin plug into the proper jack on the radio or player as well.

MOUNTING THE EQUALIZER/BOOSTER

Choose a convenient and suitable location under the dashboard of your
vehicle which will not interfere with driving. Be sure it is also away
from any direct hot air from the heater of the car. Allow enough leg room
for a passenger and also be certain to position the unit so that there is
no interference from any other wires, cables or other parts of the car.

1. With both brackets temporarily attached to the Booster, position the
unit in the chosen location and mark the dash through the holes in
each bracket.

2. Drill the marked holes and secure the brackets using the screws and
washers provided.

3. Attach the Equalizer/Booster to the mounted brackets using the four
machine screws, flat washers and spring washers.
