Sup fooools,
Well im back from the dead. After the headache of having my hatch being stolen, the new shitbox Honda-Tech, going through the process of getting a new car, and finishing up school this semester, i'm FINALLY putting up my build thread.
I have to give HUGE props to my buddies Tony (sh!tsweak) and Will (GeT_NIcE) for helping me cop this car. Props to Ben (hondaboy4life) for being Ben...
Well i'll jump right into it.
So I picked up a VIRGIN 1997 Acura Integra GSR last month. Heres some pics of it at the previous owners house:

There are few dents and dings, but overall the car was in awesome condition. Never been modified other than tint and an alarm. Not only that:

MINT black interior. None of that tan garbage. No cracks, warping, nothing. Only thing that shows sign of wear are the floor mats and the steering wheel. Cup holder still retracts fine, door panels arent warped, rear seats arent faded. Real nice.
Also, The guy had all the maintance records from 1997 - Now. All the oil changes with the exception of 2 were down at Acura. Everything else was done through Acura as well.

ANDDD, according to the records, in 2004 the transmission was completely rebuilt by Acura. No leaks or mess...

Few pics after I bought it:

So first things first. Free/Cheap mods:
Ditch the spoiler:

Ditch the rear wiper:

It was kinda crazy, I was probably the first person to remove some the body panels and dash peices in 11 years. I made sure to clean EVERYTHING that I removed and replaced.
11 year old dust inside the rear plastics:

Cleaning it up:

Went ahead and replaced all the bulbs in my dash as well.
More dust:

Wiping it all out:

Popping out the climate control:

bitch cut me:

All out:

Quick shot of the cluster all finished:

And 1 shitty shot from last night:

So thats it so far. This build is going to take a bit, and I might not update it as often as my older ones because I don't live at home anymore. Right now im on break so im trying to get little things done to the car while im here. I have a pretty good idea of what i'm going to do with the car as a whole. It'll be a little bit different, and i'm sure some people won't like it, but whatever....
And, for the hell of it, the famous shot of my hatch before it got stolen
.

Kudos to you and your friends for keeping you going! I know what its like to lose a car you put so much work into but your new build should be bigger and better! Good Luck and keep the pics rolling!

ah sweet, in for a new build. What are the build plans?
Man that previous owner had some MONEY getting the tranny rebuilt at an Acura dealer!
You think that dash had some dust/dirt inside? At least the tape around the cluster harness wasn't all browned and cracking/crumbling to pieces like mine was! I just re-wrapped my cluster harness over Thanksgiving while I had the dashboard out.
Also, any problems popping out the flasher/defroster buttons? The bottom lip of my flasher button is all busted from trying to pop it out before, and it's gonna be a PITA if I ever have to pop it out again to remove the climate controls.
Will this build up involve dashboard removal? If so, I would consider cutting/making new foam gaskets for all the HVAC ducts. I made some for my heater box using 1/2" foam from a fabric store.
