Default Comptech S/C... ?

So i just recieved my S/C in the mail... and i noticed that hondata will set my ecu for vtec to kick at 3000. But when i am in 6th gear driving on the freeway doing 70-80mph,, my rpm is sitting at like 3000-3200 or something.. so WTF does that mean? will my gears be off set with the reflash also? like longer gears ratio's or something? please help i want to send my ECU off so i can start my install......

It should be at about 3000rpm at those speeds. 6th gear is set at about 63mph. As for VTEC kicking in at 3000...I'm not sure what that'll mean, but I'd imagine it would be somewhat annoying cruising in VTEC.

Yes i thought so also.. For just a reflash.. Not the reflash for a comptech S/C... I cant find the answer anyplace. All i could find is someone that has the CP S/C that vtec is not 3k. It seems really freaking low.

http://civic.johnfuggi.com/?go=home ......... thats the website.. read down his page.

he said that there is a vtec window from 3k to 5800. a vtec window is the range where vtec is not engaged unless you go nearly full throttle, but after 5800, vtec is always engaged. so you will NOT be in vtec when you're driving on the freeway, unless you are nearly full throttle.

Like what i-vtec said: the cam profile changes at the 3k-5800 window only with throttle inputs above 50% I believe, maybe more.

yea its somewhere aound there. cuz the map has to be at 0 psi. and it occurs usually around 55-60% throttle. but why hit vtec if ur not full throttle?? you know what i mean? it kinda defeats the purpose lol

Bought a supercharger but can't spell Vtec.... Interesting.

If you haven't done the research on where Your cordless phone kicks in , with your new blower vs the Naturually aspirated version.

Perhaps you should just send the item back to someone who knows what they bought.

Note to the readers here....

its users like this that when a product comes out and transmissions blow, things go wrong or you'll see threads bashing the quality of something... that you see just how people tune their cars with their visa's and mastercards vs their brains.

You are my hero!

And WTF is up with all the Supercharger threads anyway? There's four on the first page alone in this thread. Did I miss a huge government stimulus check or something.

THen you go on saying how you got 4 g's laying around and you wanted to "live a Little". Its a problem because theres a chance that you spend those "uber 4g's that you and lots have laying around then go slap that baby on and blow your ****. Than what? Was the 4 g's worth ur car? Or would it have been easier to just look on the website and check some **** out. You dont go adn buy something worth 4g's and dont read up about it. Thats ***** just plane retarded
